We are excited to announce that for the first time, visitors to this year’s Oxford Literary Festival will be given free access to The London Magazine App.
This will accompany the spoken events, and readers may wish to delve into our latest bi-monthly issue as a source of literary debate. Everyone with an iPhone or iPad can gain access complete to our App while at the festival for free. All you will need to do is download the App and when you’re there, your free content will be unlocked.
The London Magazine prides itself on being eclectic in taste, promiscuously interested and unapologetically intelligent. The magazine has continued to produce scintillating essays and reviews, balanced with stunning poetry and short fiction for over 280 years. Giving visitors access to our App using ByPlace technology will be a fantastic accolade to the Oxford Literary Festival and an essential addition to literary festivals in the future.
The Oxford Literary Festival has an impressive line up this year – including the Nobel Prize Winner from Turkey, Orhan Pamuk and five Booker Prize winners: Eleanor Catton; John Banville; Margaret Atwood; Ian McEwan; and Ben Okri. There are over 500 speakers from more than 20 countries. With the help of geo-location, each of the official venues – including the lively festival marquee – will prove a hotspot for the device. With more than 30 events already sold out, you’re advised to book tickets quick!
As ever, we’d like to hear your verdict, so feel free to tweet @TheLondonMag with #OxfordLitFest and let us know how you’re enjoying the new addition. Make sure to be prepared and download our App now. Even if you’re not going you can enjoy a few articles from our latest issue for free.
